I’m Natalie, and I look forward to helping you get your writing projects in order and ready for submission and/or publication. Having had many years’ experience with writing in different genres (mainly nonfiction and academic, specifically, postgraduate musicology research) I understand how important it is for your readers to be impressed with your pristine, flawless copy. I specialize in line editing, copyediting, and proofreading, all of which have their distinct purposes--

Line editing: Rewriting or deleting text in order to make a sentence or paragraph clearer, checking line-by-line, but preserving the author's voice. This level of editing does not include the correction of spelling, grammar, or punctuation.

Copyediting: Making sure your writing follows house style (if applicable) and language rules, including grammar, spelling and punctuation. Minor rewriting is involved.

Proofreading: The final check of your text after all the editing is done, focusing on grammar, spelling, punctuation, spacing, fonts, etc. There is no rewriting/editing of material at this stage.
